I was upstairs, she hugged me;I’m not a hugger, but I hugged her back. And she turned to me and she’s like, “This is not weird, I’m not being weird or creepy or hitting on you, can I dance with you?” And I said, “Sure.” Then she starts crying and I’m like, “Why are you crying?” And she’s like, “Well, in my country if i do this, I would still be killed.” That, to me, never went away. That’s the importance. Having this kind of safe space, and we forget that still to this day, but that was so powerful in that moment.
